EMBERS is a charity whose mission is to create economic and employment opportunities for people by providing them jobs, training, and support. We seek to empower individuals into economic self-sufficiency so that they can build their best future.
Since 2001, we have provided a comprehensive array of job placements and support services that address the full employment continuum, from pre-employment to sustainable employment. We have won multiple provincial and national awards for our community impact and initiatives aimed at getting people back to work and building a better future.

Our Worker Support Program aims to remove many barriers to employment: we provide tools & equipment necessary for jobs, provide lunches, and offer transportation to sites, and other wraparound supports such as helping to access counselling, housing search support, access to affordable groceries, access to affordable dental work, and other support services.

EMBERS Training provides hard and soft skills training to people who are getting back into the workforce or starting a new career. We have both youth specific and more general training programs for career support and skills development. Whether someone is pursuing a career in construction, exploring other industries, or trying to establish themselves, EMBERS Training helps them uncover their strengths, build new skills, and achieve their career goals.

We match our worker’s savings up to $600 to help them with their various goals including education, computers, tools/working gear, e-bikes, and extra training. This fund doubles the investment in a person’s ability to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Join us from 10am for registration cocktails brought to you by Oxford Builders Supplies, a breakfast buffet with coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and plenty of activities and networking opportunities.

After our traditional Megaputt, everyone will head to their starting holes for a shotgun start! There will be two foursomes per starting hole.

There will be fun activities throughout the course - and of course, drinks!

Once you’ve finished your round, join us in the ballroom for networking and a chance to check out our Silent Auction.

The evening program begins with a steak BBQ, sponsored by EllisDon Construction. During dinner, we will tell you all about the EMBERS mission. Then, we’ll present awards and prizes.
