EMBERS Training: VR Construction

EMBERS first Virtual Reality Construction Training cohort had their graduation last week in Abbotsford! This program was in partnership with Bigfoot Crane Academy and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC.

The four day course gave a group of nine young people access to a CM Labs – Vortex Advantage 5 Screen where they explored what’s it’s like to operate

  • Tower Cranes

  • Mobile Cranes

  • Boom Trucks

  • Excavators

  • Backhoes

  • Wheel Loaders

  • Dozers

  • Haul Trucks

There are only a few simulators like this in BC,  so this is an extremely rare opportunity! The youth had an amazing time with Lynne and the Bigfoot team, and some even found careers that they’d like to pursue post-secondary.
